There are no shortage of shopping sites for you to list your products on. Some are free, some will charge you only when someone clicks on your listing to your website. And as you've learned, some will allow you to pay more for a top listing. Let's take a look at your best options... Your best free options Google Base When you list your products on Google Base, they can show up for specific searches across Google's network (including product search, regular search, and Google maps). You can add your products manually (10 or fewer) or do a bulk upload using a data feed. And if you're an eBay, Yahoo, or osCommerce store owner, you can connect your store information to Google Base through Google's free Store Connector download. Live Product Search Products listed on Live Product Search are organized by category and are searchable by keyword. People can also sort listings by keyword-based "best match," user ratings, or price. You can upload one product at a time or in bulk, and listings expire every 30 days. Pay to appear in their sponsored results through Microsoft AdCenter. They do have an automatic system that crawls the web looking for products they don't have listed, so do a search to make sure you're not already in there! MyTriggers.com http://www.mytriggers.com/merchants/merchant_reg.php Another great place to list your products for free via data feed or FTP. This site allows shoppers to put in a request for a product and name their top price. They get an alert when MyTriggers finds what they're looking for. (Best if you're selling collectibles or hard-to-find items, otherwise you're competing against the likes of WalMart, Sony, and Office Depot.) Cost: Free to list. It works on a cost-per-action (CPA) model, so you pay only for sales. Yahoo Shopping http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/shopsb/index.php Customers can search for items by category or keyword, then sort listings by top results or price. They can also compare several different product listings, or read customer reviews. Although customer reviews and ratings aren't a factor for being displayed higher in the search results, they can affect your sales! To get started, open a free Shopzilla merchant account, fill your account with a $50 deposit that will be applied toward your cost per clicks. Top ranking strategy: Pay for better placement...
